To preface my review please note that my hair was almost completely blonde with highlights before I went to the salon. I have been going for 7 months, every 5 weeks for highlights at a different salon.There is a Groupon deal through the stylist, Lorraine. The deal was for $67 partial highlights and a one color process (roots). It took her 5 hours to complete my hair. She erased all the highlights that I had, which was 7 months worth. Do the math on how many hundreds of dollars down the drain. My hair was reddish brown when I left, with no blonde highlights left at all. Keep in mind I came to add more blonde highlights and left with no blonde highlights at all. NEVER AGAIN.BUYER BEWARE!!!! I called the salon and the owner, Shirley, agreed to fix my hair or refund my money. I go to meet the owner and she stated she would not fix my hair because Lorraine was the lady who offered the Groupon. I did however receive a full refund. In a nutshell, I would never recommend Lorraine for my hair!!!!!!!!!!!! PLEASE BE AWARE AND DONT BUY GROUPON

* When I called Shirley she stated to me that she remembered me and she felt you left the toner on my hair too long-part of this was due to the fact there was no open sinks to rinse the toner.
Don't you ever in your life, respond to me on Google. First, I am shocked and appalled by your lack of professionalism in responding to my review on Google. Google is a place where paying consumers can leave real, honest reviews so that others may decide if they want to partake in their services. Generally I would not respond to such ignorance, however, when such allegations of attempting to "scam you" arise I must vehemently defend my position, as I see you have no couth. The Groupon was a gift. The salon I regularly attend is around $200 each visit (for the same services you were supposed to supply), so for you accuse me of scamming you out of $67 shows how wrong you are. That's what I normally tip my other hair stylist. I also showed Shirley the card from Salon Miko, that was stamped with each monthly visit with the price included. I left the facts on a Google review. At this stage in my life, I can't believe I'm being bullied on Yelp. When you make mistakes-OWN UP TO THEM. It's a shame Shirley's salon now has such bad reviews based off your actions.

I have long dark rocker hair, think Criss Angel! I love to have my hair straightened and too bad for me I have naturally curly hair! Anyways, the last salon I went to screwed up my hair, whichever straighter they used it totally fried it! My hair looked pretty bad and I actually contemplated cutting it all off... Fortunate for me I found Focus Hair and Lorraine! She had to first treat my hair with a process of repairing the damage already done by lesser experience hair dressers... That process alone took a few hours and that treatment totally repaired my hair like 85% better. My hair is now feels smooth and strong! After that I had to wait at least 3 weeks to get the Keratin treatment done. Sooooo fast forward to right now, it's been 3 weeks and now my hair freakin' ROCKS!! I know why so many people come to see you to fix their hair! Thank you so much Lorraine for bringing my hair back to life and making it look better than it ever had before!!!

Ashley, at the time of your visit, you only requested that highlights be placed on the underneath of your hair as you stated that your previous hairdresser wasn't getting you light enough and that you felt it was too dark. Also, prior to your service, per our consultation which is documented, there was color pulled through the bottom and as a result, there was unevenness of color as there was banding. Your highlights were striped and the blonde that you had was yellow and there was previous overlapping. In good faith to help you out, I did not charge you additional for your length, nor for the glaze.You had about a half inch regrowth with about 30% gray as well. Your work was more corrective as you were seeking an overall change, which I explained it was not going to be in one visit. There was no red added to your hair and since you declined on having highlights on the top (as you wanted to stay with the Groupon price), your end result was the best it could be as there would be just the regrowth area colored (to blend the gray) and the highlights would not be retouched on the top, again by your request. To state again, all work was done upon your consent and you left the salon happy, so in 4 days to request a free service on which you initially did not want as to stay with the groupon price. Also, it would be impossible to remove the highlights as they were not covered with your base color, only the regrowth area was colored for your gray hair. Shirley did not argue with you, she offered a few highlights on the top, but since you wanted the entire top section highlighted at no charge (which initially you declined), you were issued a refund.
* The salon owner originally offered to fix my hair-why would she offer to fix my hair if there was nothing wrong with it? Subsequent to viewing my hair in person, Shirley, stated it would cost over $100 to get my hair to its original condition
